Slide Factory Launches 3D Printed Fan Shroud for the REVE'd RDX Low Motor Configuration

New accessory directs airflow straight to the motor, tackling the overheating that's plagued low-mount RDX builds

Slide Factory, the home of custom carbon RC drift parts, today announced the release of its new 3D printed fan shroud built specifically for the low motor configuration on the REVE'd RDX chassis. The shroud houses a standard 30mm cooling fan and channels airflow directly across the motor can, drastically increasing cooling capacity for drivers pushing long runs and high-power setups.

Drivers running the RDX in its low motor configuration have long dealt with heat soak, cutting sessions short. A bare fan loses most of its airflow to the open air around the motor instead of the motor itself. Slide Factory RC's new shroud solves that by ducting the fan's output directly onto the can, keeping temperatures down and power delivery consistent.

"The RDX in the low motor config is a great platform, but heat was the one thing holding drivers back from really leaning on it. This shroud is a direct, no-modification fix."

Key features of the new fan shroud include:

Purpose-built for the RDX low motor configuration — engineered around the chassis's specific layout for a clean, drop-in fit

Standard 30mm fan compatible — houses a standard 30mm fan (sold separately) and directs its output straight at the motor can

Drastically improved cooling — shrouded, directed airflow delivers a significant cooling improvement over an unshrouded fan

Reduced thermal throttling — more consistent power delivery, run after run
Precision 3D printed construction — light weight, tight tolerances, repeatable fit

The RDX Low Motor Fan Shroud is available now at slidefactoryrc.com.
